Hi all!
I have a question regarding DID carriers and SIP trunking. I currently have a bunch of DIDs with a local Canadian wholesale carrier. This particular carrier isn't so great with T.38/ECM faxing so I would like to have inbound calls run over a different SIP trunk which deals better with fax.
My question is as follows:
Technically speaking, if the carrier supports it, is it possible to use URI forwarding from provider A to provider B to allow inbound calls to a DID to be received over a different carrier's SIP trunk. My goal is to avoid having to LNP numbers all over the place if possible. I would like to keep all my DIDs with carrier A and receive inbound calls for some of those numbers with carrier B.
Is this possible with SIP URI forwarding? I've been learning tons about SIP in the last few months but still have some way to go, so forgive me if this is an obvious question to most!
