said by http://www.callcentric.com/new/#spam_call_filter :Our Spam Call Filter is a powerful tool designed to help you reduce/eliminate the amount of unwanted Telemarketer/Robocalls you receive. Here's how it works... Every number that you receive an inbound call from will be assigned a Spam Probability Rating which will provide you with insight into the likelihood that the caller is a robocaller/telemarketer. These ratings are provided to us in real-time by TrueCNAM.com and are based on a combination of live traffic analysis, crowd sourced information, government data, and their proprietary algorithms. Our Spam Call Filter will allow you to define how calls with a specific Spam Probability Rating are handled. For example, to reduce the likelihood that Telemarketers/Robocallers reach your phone you can route calls from numbers that have a "High" Spam Probability Rating to a destination such as Voicemail or a busy signal. **Callcentric Tip: Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that every caller, who is calling from a number that has a Medium/High Spam Probability Rating, is a Telemarketer/Robocaller. When you begin using this feature, we recommend that you configure your Spam Filter Call Treatment to route calls (with a Medium/High Spam Probability Rating) to our Voicemail or Telemarketer Block Features rather than outright blocking them (busy signal, error message, etc). Doing so will allow you to attain a better understanding of how specific incoming numbers are rated while still providing an opportunity for trusted/legitimate callers to reach you.
