Hello,
I was considering the purchase of an SPA3102 to replace my Thomson TG784 for VoIP service.
Can the SPA3102 be configured to dial out on it's PSTN port with a prefix (Such as *9* or something)?
I've searched forums for an answer, and could not find (that is clear and understandable). From what I've read, the device is capable of forwarding VoIP to PSTN, but that's not relevant to me.
My current TG784 is configured such that it can receive both calls through VoIP and PSTN. It dials out through VoIP by default or I may enter a prefix of *9* before my number to dial out on PSTN.
The problem starts when I make a lengthy call out through PSTN. After a while the call randomly fills with loud static (but does not disconnect). It is so bad that I cannot hear the person on the other end. I've narrowed it down to an issue with the TG784, and not the phone. Ideally I'd like to replace the entire unit as it takes up alot of room and consumes quite a bit of power too.
Thank you.
