Good news for Huawei's users. Huawei finally released full OS upgrade at the end of last month, and fixed the bug killing apps in the background on EMUI8.0
After upgrading, Zoiper free version still works great even without push notification, just need to make this app exempt from battery optimization. Moreover, sip message also works well. In addition, don't forget to use TCP instead of UDP for better battery time if possible.
Also tested groundwire and acrobits, both works well without push notification.
Unfortunately, found an acrobits' bug: under push notification, both groundwire and acrobists were killed if clean all apps in ram, so no incoming calls at all afterwards. Please note it
