I am posting this here, because VoIP services often let you pick a number of your desire, but in this case the desired number belongs to a pool of an out of town carrier.
Is there any way to (successfully) request a phone number with an out of town carrier? I would go so far as to sign up for their service, if they would be able to assign this number, but it seems there are regulations in place preventing numbers being assigned to an out of town address (at location of this particular number). Currently, Blue river comm's holds one of the desired land line numbers, and it is disconnected at this time, but without an address in Blue River's vicinity I can't sign up for any of their services.
Any kind of tip/pointer or information appreciated!!
