Hi Everyone,
I've been using AT&T Internet only for my ISP. I need to disable the SIP ALG (to stop the packet loss and related causing problems for my VOIP), but the router I had did not allow it. I requested a new router and the tech person assured me it would let me adjust those settings, however, once again, that was not true. I've wasted hours and days on the phone with their tech team that are simply making up answers.
I live in Los Angeles and I believe the only choices I have for Internet are ATT or Spectrum (used to be called Time Warner Cable). When I call ATT to ask them to tell me the router brand and model first, they refuse because they don't know. And even the high level tech tier have ZERO tech background. They are 100% non-technical call center people who look up key words and read that back as the supposed answer. Does anyone know what I can do to find a way to disable SIP ALG? I'm also hoping for the least expensive option. How is everyone else getting around this issue?
Thanks!!!
