Fyi,
I posted some information in another forum regarding connecting a Straight Talk Home Phone to an FXO port on a Cisco 2811 router, configuring it, thus enabling the capability to send calls out and receive them from the PSTN via a dial plan configured on the router and a Cisco Unified Communications manager server:

I finally got off my arse and bought a 2-Port FXS/1-Port FXO card off a Ebay and I'm going to see if I can get this arrangement to work on a physical FreePBX server.
Anyhoo, sure there are a lot of boxes like this out there, but it's all in how you use it that makes the difference :-)
May this info be of use to someone... :-) :-)
Jay
P.S.,
yes, I know I said I was going to stop relying on using the gui primarily (2yrs ago) and fully learn Linux command line, but I got sidetracked at work and ended up getting my CCNA Voice instead (working on CCNA/CCNP Collab right now). Linux "is" one of the priorities this year *smile*
