I've been trying to figure out how to create a custom voicemail for my Anveo Direct number using IPBX-Wavo this whole weekend and I'm still scratching my head. My goal is make sure that when somebody calls the number and its either busy or no answer, they are directed to leave a message after hearing a brief company voicemail and then have that message emailed to me.
Inbound/outbound for the number works fine for the most part. The user for that line is set to ring for 30 seconds and I tested out using the default extension option and sound file using the default ivr-Allison file. Both times I was able to hear the differences. However, the first issue is that when calling the number, at the 30 second mark there is a slight pause, then it continues to ring until the 60 second mark is met. At that time, either the voicemail extension or sound file picks up. Perhaps I missed a setting somewhere, but it's my understanding that you set the # of rings in Users>Name>Ringing time. The time is also set to 30 seconds in the Incoming Calls area for the Anveo Direct number.
I changed the call time to zero in User section and now when I call it the number the extension message automatically plays despite audio file being selected.. I've tried changing it back to 30, restarting Asterick, but still getting that issue. I have no idea what happened or what to do about solving the problem.
I was able to upload the company voicemail and it shows up in the Recordings area, but I am unable to select it as a sound file for the user.
Would somebody be kind enough to help me out and tell me exactly where to put the playback message so that it appears in the backend system and I can select it for that individual user?
Thanks.
