trying to understand the convoluted way polycom handle the config of its phones. in respect to my other thread i thought i should create a new one to help others that will be in my shoes trying to figure out these phones.
so im simply trying to add the parameter voIpProt.SIP.header.diversion.enable="1". since the phone is new im learning there are no parameters input into the phone.
on my vvx410 i have 5.5.1, i downloaded the latest 700meg file i could find: Polycom-UC-Software-5-5-0-rts45-V-release-sig-split
extracted and found a config folder inside that had the sip-interop.cfg file inside of it. opened that cfg file in notepad++ and i found the voIpProt.SIP.header.diversion.enable and it is set to 0.
can i simply change that to a 1, save it, and import the sip-interop.cfg file into phone? or does the whole config folder need to be imported?
or is there an easier way to do this? i thought i saw i could simply add that one line to the phone somehow but it didnt make sense to me
worried all the other parameters thats in that sip-interop.cfg file might mess up a halfway working phone
