Twice this month, a DID that I recently ported-in to CallCentric has been slammed. Still waiting to recover it from the latest slamming.
The DID in question is used as a dedicated fax No. Porting it to one of the fax services that are notorious for their egregious trade practices (including a prohibition on porting-out once a DID ports-in) would take care of the problem. However, it would be like jumping from the frying pan into the fire. I set up the problem DID for the express purpose of escaping eFax.
Are there any VoIP providers or carriers that will protect DIDs against slamming?
I know that Google Voice does, but GV would not be an option.
