Doing a 1 month trial of OnSip.
Any experiences to share, comparisons, caveats, etc.?
Seems to do what it needs to do for a reasonable cost.
Actually 2 questions.
1=I'm told if phone gets rebooted, all contacts programmed are lost if the phone was provisioned via push server, vs. if you manually configure/provision the phone, if rebooted, all contacts are preserved.
A little disturbing, as it could be a deal breaker if an end user programs a few dozen contacts and has to re-enter them after a phone reboot!
Is this "normal" with VOIP systems, or is it specific/peculiar to OnSip?
2=Polycom vs. ??: customer does not like small screen of VVX500, liked bigger screen of Yaelink T48G.
However, I tried T48G and audio seemed muffled, research showed that no fix was ever offered, and resolve was "plug the handset cable into the headset port" to solve the problem.
Uggh!
What's the best, reasonably priced, IP Gigabit phone to have these days?
