Most of us enjoy having caller ID available for our messages in case the person mumbles. What I'm looking for is a system that records caller ID for callers who do not leave a message, like if they hang up before it starts recording. If you have a phone connected or softphone running on your computer that info will be stored under Missed Calls, just like a landline or cell with caller ID. But if the device is turned off its usually inaccessible. I don't know if there is a name for a feature like this but it would be incredibly useful to some of us as so many people are shy and are uncomfortable leaving a message. I want to use multiple phone numbers and can't have them all "On". Caller ID monitoring is the best way of knowing who called. (Maybe I've just coined a new term.)
