I use VOIP.MS on a Grandstream GXP2140. Almost always flawless.
I spend about 2 hours daily on the phone.
About twice a year, a conversation will briefly break up and I'll see
the "network trouble" icon come on at the top of the Grandstream's
screen. The glitch lasts up to 15 seconds, then clears up, and the
trouble icon goes away. The call doesn't drop.
I have a dynamic IP address from my ISP. I'd guess that it changes
about monthly.
The problem is obviously not serious: perhaps 30 seconds per year.
But it's interesting to me. Could the glitch that I describe occur at
the moment when my ISP changes my public IP address?
