Using VZW I dial *67 followed by my Anveo Direct DID #.
In the INVITE from Anveo Direct the "From:" header is as follows:
AFrom: <sip:0@50.22.101.14>;tag=xxxx...The IP address is cr.anveo.com.
Two questions:
1. Who set the SIP URI username to "0"?
2. Shouldn't it have been set to "anonymous"?
RFC 3323 says:
"The full recommended form of the From
header for anonymity is (note that this From header, like all others,
MUST contain a valid and unique 'tag=' parameter):
A From: "Anonymous" <sip:anonymous@anonymous.invalid>;tag=1928301774"
I ask because I am blacklisting invalid caller IDs (they get SIT + "not in service") but I don't want to blacklist anonymous calls.
Thanks!
[ EDIT ]
Here's the "From:" header of an anonymous call from one Callcentric extension to another:
Af: "Anonymous" <sip:anonymous@callcentric.com>;tag=xxxx...
