I have been using the hosted Anveo for a few months. Really liked the flexibility of the IVR builder for a hosted service. I originally chose Anveo after reading many positive reviews about Anveo's call quality, but realized later that most of them referred to Anveo Direct, not their hosted service.
The reason I'm asking is because while my call quality to other VoIP phones and landlines are generally pretty good, I find cell phones to be a different story. It seemed to have got worse lately, when I got a series of bad sounding (choppy) calls that I had to hang up and re-dial with my cell phone (via Google Voice) which always fixed it right away, eliminating issues on the other side. Local network/QoS is unlikely the issue as this happens in both my house and office, both have good fiber internet with plenty of bandwidth.
As mentioned this happens almost exclusively with cell phone calls, raising the concern of bad carrier/routes.
Is Anveo hosted supposed to be a "budget" or "premium" level of service? Does it use the same "premium" or "smart" routes that Anveo Direct offers to the self-hosted PBX users?
Honestly hosted Anveo's price isn't really cheap after all kinds of small charges add up. It actually can get more expensive than other traditional fixed-fee-per-user VoIP providers especially at lower user counts. I'm wondering if it's worth switching to another provider or trying the self-hosted PBX route. I don't seem to be able to find another hosted service that offers the same level of flexibility Anveo does.
