If you think a Raspberry Pi isn't quite beefy enough for a PBX...

I've seen a few mentions of this device on different sites in the past week. It appears to give you much more "bang for your buck" than a Raspberry Pi for roughly the same price, it is Intel-based rather than ARM-based and it will run Ubuntu (and presumably other versions of Linux) or Windows. I haven't actually seen one up close, but it seems to me that those who are concerned about the number of simultaneous calls that a Raspberry Pi can handle just might find this more to their liking. Mind you, in applications where the Raspberry Pi is sufficient it would probably still be a better choice, because it is smaller and has a standard power connector, and probably uses less power and generates less heat in operation. But if you think you need more processing power than what a RPi offers, or just hate ARM-based devices, this may be an option for you. Atomic Pi (manufacturer's site) YouTube video (more directed at demonstrating the unit's video capabilities) Search "Atomic Pi" on your favorite search engine if you want to find other recent articles and information.
