Good day.
After some trial and error, I have been able to import *.csv file formatted phone books.
I've noticed some peculiarities unique to VoIP.ms and would like to know if there are any known workarounds or, perhaps, I did something wrong.
These are they:
Parentheses: When adding a name on the Phone Book web portal, I can place parenthesis around part of a name and they will be shown after saving the entry. However, no matter how I write them "()" or "\(\)" or ""()"" when creating a *.csv file, they are ignored by VoIP.ms when the file is imported.
Quotation Marks: As I understand it, the use of quotation marks around all *.csv file fields is a best practice. However, when quotation marks surround a SIP URI, VoiP.ms does not strip them, instead, it shows the quotation marks as part of the SIP URI.
I did not try placing quotation marks around phone numbers, but assume that the result would be the same as with a SIP URI.
CallerID Number Override: VoIP.ms does not allow a *.csv file field for "CallerID Number Override." What would be the place for that field is, in fact, the "Group" field.
