I recently had occasion to power off my Obi202 (which I rarely do) and then found it wouldn't work after power on (LED slow flash green). I did a paper-clip reset. The power LED was then alternating red/green, which means a power failure during an upgrade (which I didn't do). I found it was accessible via the web interface, but the only screen I could access was to upgrade F/W. I didn't have any F/W files, so I downloaded the 4330 file I found linked in another recent thread (thanks to the poster), and it worked.
Now I'm afraid to power-cycle, which I shouldn't have to be. Has anyone else observed this kind of behavior? Did I make a mistake?
My old firmware was 39xx, which I knew is old but I was shy about upgrading because of some recent war stories. I don't use Google Voice. My Obi worked fine for 3 years with the old version and I believe IIABDFI. So now I have a newer version, but not the latest. (Any reason I should go beyond 4330?)
(Hmm. This leads me to a speculation about downgrading versions. It has been stated recently that once you upgrade past a certain version you can't downgrade. Suppose you deliberately start an upgrade and kill power. Might the Obi be left in a state at that point -- LED alternating red/green -- where it would accept any old F/W file?)
