[Other] configuring vpn with voip service

I am currently using Grandstream HT-502 hooked up to an Asus dd-wrt router. Running Panasonic DECT wired base & 5 wireless handsets phone network through the ATA. I recently added VPN service to my computer network for increased security in home office. ( all the cyber ransomware attacks in my area lately spooked me a bit!) What are my best options so everything plays nice together so to speak? I have a media server setup on my network that i need to bi-pass or segregate the vpn somehow ( media streaming services are banning use of vpn but i want my data locked down for security reasons not for geoblocking purposes! while locking down the rest of the traffic (computer terminals & voip) Don't have knowledge to do a split tunnel config ( but willing to learn if needed) if it is even possible with my hardware setup or add 2nd router/ 2nd ip ? & configure it that way. i would like to increase capacity & feature of my voip setup as well. fax, multi numbers ( separating personal & business lines as well as maximizing cost to use from various providers) Voip service is currently through Callcentric. Thinking of adding in voip phone handset instead of my ATA if it makes sense to bottom line financially. also looked at sip sorcery but intimidated by lack of coding skills to manage it. That is part of reason i haven't embraced the PBX world yet. Is this doable or not based on current technology? I noticed dedicated VPN cloud type services popping up but prefer to have own server setup for that. The idea is to retain as much control of data as possible rather than farm it out. Maybe when I am a rich conglomerate & money isn't a factor then sure! :-S Any suggestions on how to proceed are welcome. Champagne dreams & beer budget. Galaxysurfer
