I moved from Missouri to California last fall. I had an HT701 (unlocked Basic Talk) ATA which I was using with FreeSwitch running on a Digital Ocean VPS in New York City. This ATA has been sitting in a box since I moved. I finally moved my FreeSwitch server from Digital Ocean in New York City to Digital Ocean in San Francisco.
In general, everything is working fine with the new FreeSwitch server. I have 2 Android cell phones with GrandStream SIP clients which register fine to the FS server both from home, from work and while on mobile data.
But I can not for the life of me get the HT701 to register to FreeSwitch. I set the SIP debug log level to 7 and all I get are the following 2 messages.
2016-06-11 14:41:58.227758 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1771 Send challenge for [2001@104.236.xxx.xxx]2016-06-11 14:41:58.307708 [DEBUG] sofia_reg.c:1715 Send forbidden for [2001@104.236.xxx.xxx]
104.236.xxx.xxx is the correct IP address for the VPS.
I am sure it is not a password issue. It is the same password I use for GransdStream and I have re-entered it about 10 times.
I don't think it is a firewall issue as GrandStream on the cell phones works fine from home.
Does anybody have any ideas what it could be?
