I frequent a few VoIP-related forums and have seen a great deal of complaints from users of pfSense routers. The complaints are the usual things like one-way or no audio or calls going directly to voicemail. The users are typically customers of quality service providers like Callcentric and VoIP.ms, so I doubt the provider is at fault.
So far no one in the threads I've participated in has come back to say if/how they've solved their problem, so I thought I would ask here. Can anyone post instructions or a link to a good tutorial about how to configure pfSense to work properly with VoIP? It would be good to know how to set up its firewall to block SIP scanners, allow two-way audio, keep the NAT hole open so incoming calls always ring, and set up QoS in both directions.
Thanks,
Mango
