A slightly unpleasant surprise for anyone who signs up with Zadarma is the fact that you only can make calls above 5c/min if you were approved, and for approval they want to have uploaded copy of your passport/ ID. The strange thing is that they do not disclose it up front, only after you signed up and deposited funds.I understand the problem with VoIP fraud, but I am not sure whether I want to have my ID info on file in Moscow. But fortunately, because all my calls are less than 5c/min it's not an issue.
