I have several DIDs with Twilio. I received an e-mail from them this morning telling me that they had a porting request for one of my numbers and wanting me to go into their website to verify the porting request. When I went into the website to reject the request, I found another number which I had recently acquired from them had already been ported away without my knowledge or authorization.
In going back and forth with their customer support regarding this, I was told the following:
"Note that if there is a consistent end-user using a number then they are typically allowed to port the number away to a carrier of their choosing according to FCC regulations."
Does that mean that a previous owner of a DID who has let it lapse can come back and reclaim it if they want to?
