Using Fongo home phone for about a month and a half. Everything is working as it should except once in a while I will try to call someone and when they answer they can't hear me, but I can hear them. They know it's me because my caller ID shows up on their phone. I have to reboot the ATA so when I call someone they can hear me.
I finally figured out that this only happens after I buzz someone into the building, which I don't do often. Our building entry system is a code is punched in on the keyboard, then the entry system has a local phone number listed as our condo corp. that dials our phone number. We push number 9 on the phone to unlock the building door. This system can be used with Cell phones, VoIP and Landlines. The building's door entry system does work with VoIP. It's the outbound calling after that is a problem if I don't reboot the ATA.
Basically, I have to reboot or unplug and re-plug the ATA after I buzz someone into the building. Fongo says they don't support Door entry systems. The ATA is Grandstream HT701.
For the little more than $5 a month I pay for the Fongo service, I can put up with this problem, but I was wondering if others had this problem and what solution worked for them?
Thanks.
