I've experienced this twice now. Dialing into certain teleconference providers won't work when the call goes over certain providers.
The first time it happened the system allowed me to have the code I was typing played back to me, which allowed me to make sure it was correct and that it wasn't a DTMF issue. In this case I had to force it down another "route" and it worked. When I looked into it I found out that the conference line has different call in numbers and PIN's depending on where in the world you are calling from. That concept seemed a bit "odd" to me when considering VOIP. I don't know how they determine "where I am" but I suspect that the route (provider based in Canada in that instance) was causing the call to appear from outside the US and they expected a different call in/PIN combo.
This most recent time didn't allow me to check the PIN code to rule out DTMF, but I've checked what is sent at the PBX and it is correct. I really don't think it is DTMF causing it but I guess I can't rule it out 100%. This call was attempting to go over Windstream when it failed to recognize the PIN code. I route blocked to force it down Verizon and it worked.
However this isn't all that great considering how many other companies we could be doing business with that can use all types of teleconference providers and numbers.
I've also tested it over another provider (instead of Anveo) called SIP.US and it fails as well.
Anyone have advice?
