Good day.
Late last month, I set-up two of what Localphone calls an "Internet Phone" which is a plain vanilla SIP VoIP account, one each for an OBi1022 SIP phone and an OBi200 ATA.
When using these new accounts, all outbound calls longer than fifteen minutes are cut off shortly after fifteen minutes duration.
Localphone Technical Support came up with the following:
Dear Customer,
Thank you for your patience. We received an information from our carrier that the call disconnected as your IP [MY EXTERNAL IP ADDRESS] was not responding back on the call Re-INVITE that our carrier initiated which happens every 15 minutes of the call (to check the call status). As your IP [MY EXTERNAL IP ADDRESS] did not respond accordingly, the carrier has no choice but to end the call as no-response on Re-INVITE would mean that the call is no longer active, thus, ends the call to avoid any unnecessary long calls / billing.
To avoid this kind of issue, please kindly check your device should there are any Re-INVITE option that you can enable.
My "InviteExpires" and "ReInviteExpires" settings are default:
InviteExpires 60ReInviteExpires 10
Any ideas?
Thank you!
