Backstory: I have a device that has a built-in dialup modem that I can't really mess with, that's notoriously flaky over VoIP. I currently have it working via a Grandstream HT801, connected to Callcentric on its own extension, set up per their instructions, with the following changes made on the "FXS Port" tab:
Jitter Buffer Type: Fixed
Jitter Buffer Length: High
Disable Line Echo Canceller: Yes
Disable Network Echo Suppressor: Yes
This is loosely based on the Obi tips here, which I wasn't able to use directly. (I can't alter the outgoing dialing string, there are no corresponding global Obi settings, and the Obi's "UseForModemOnly" didn't help.) But elsewhere, I read that a shorter jitter buffer would be better; and I'm wondering if there might be other settings I'm missing that would improve modem performance.
The ATA is dedicated solely to this purpose, so I don't care about voice on this extension. (I also have a spare Cisco SPA122, in case that might work better.)
