I don't think I was hacked but something very strange happened. I logged in to my voip.ms account and found 25 calls from my DID to my the same DID within 20 minutes. This happened yesterday with no other unusual activity. All calls were incoming, so not much info in the CDR. I guess it was a spoofed CID calling my DID of the same number. It looks like it was in "packs" of 6 or 7 calls, i.e., 6 calls placed within seconds, then pause of a few minutes, then again. Somebody testing the failover options?
Why would anyone do such a thing? What can be gained by doing this? Maybe there is a specific bug in voip.ms' software that can give some info by doing this? Interesting that most of the results (disposition) were "no answer" with only 4 "busy". No calls went through to my phone. Anyone has any idea what is going on?
