Occasionally I need to make international calls.
I have a couple of DIDs with voip.ms, so I am bound to them. Last time I unblocked the country I needed to call, called and the call was rejected. I went to their price checker and saw a note that the particular prefix I needed to call in that unblocked country was blocked and I needed to contact support to unblock it. It took one day. So, voip.ms is a no go. They let you block and unblock countries but still block certain prefixes in unblocked countries (it was a cell number for which the rate went up and voip.ms doesn't care to keep up with the rates, so they just block certain destinations in otherwise unblocked countries).
I have an account with CallWithUs but it is blocked now because I suppose I haven't used it for more that 3 months.
I had and maybe still have an account with Cheap VoIP, Inc., Nitzan's venture. I don't have funds in it anymore and I am hesitant to deposit $25 to a service whose website lists the latest news from September 2, 2013: Calling rates have changed.
What would be a good provider with reasonable international rates that:
1) doesn't block my account for no use;
2) doesn't arbitrarily block destinations without warning;
3) preferably doesn't ask for a large deposit; $25 will run me a long time.
voip.ms, CallWithUs and Cheap VoIP, Inc. used to be good for this but... see above.
