There seems to be a massive increase in spam calls coming from orgs using voip, often foreign based too. I am also starting to see more and more people with stories of similar phone numbers calling, only to be told that their number called them, when they did not.
It's just too easy for anyone to use voip to spam people. What I find interesting is that voip providers are allowing people to burn through their numbers, as these are ultimately being blocked.
Is there anything that voip can do to tackle this proactively and without government regulation?
