Hi,
I run my own small IT business and currently looking to get a few outbound telesales staff in on a medium-term temporary basis. Our industrial unit is out in the sticks, 3 miles from the nearest exchange and with no fibre broadband, so our internet connection is poor to non-existent some days.
As ISDN lines (or more accurately the calls) are very expensive, I want to take advantage of the fixed line operators' analog line unlimited calls bundle. As such, I'll need 3 (or possibly 4) analog lines to be shared between 4 - 6 extensions. Ideally I'd like an IP based system so that I can piggyback the computers off a VoIP phone's ethernet pass through. A system with CTI for easy dialing would also be great, but not essential.
Does anybody have a recommendation for what PBX's I should be looking at please? I've never worked in networking or telecoms, but my technical background (app support and scripting) should allow me to work my way through the basics, provided its not an ultra-complicated setup.
As I need to keep costs right down, I was hoping to buy a used system off ebay, but would likewise be happy with a new system if it was low cost. I've been looking at a used Panasonic KX-TDA15 and Linksys SPA9000 (assuming it can be teamed) and a new Orchid 308+ so far, but would really appreciate any guidance.
Cheers
Andy
