When our landline number of some 25 years was still on POTS, we'd commonly get from three to five spam/scam calls per day. After the number was ported to CallCentric on Monday, I set up call treatments to frustrate such abusers: "Spam call probability" of "High" requires the caller to "press 1" to complete the call.
We haven't received a single spam/scam/robo call at all since the port. Looking at the activity reports for our CallCentric account, I would have expected to see some incoming calls tagged as "High.," but there's not been a single one.
Wonder why that might be? It's as if the telespammers/scammers "lost" us in the porting process. Any insights, anybody? I'm curious.
